    With all due respect to Lisa Duncan and her thumb-uppers, the process with Starlight is very straightforward and transparent. Yes, in the end the average payment will most likely be at $1500+ a month but remember, it's a GATED COMMUNITY. If you want anything less, go over to the hood or the trailer park for a better deal.

    Also, let's not forget about certain fees that come along with home ownership that Starlight has no control over: property taxes ($225/month), HOA fee ($90/month), homeowners insurance ($70/month), and unless you've got 20% down payment you'll also be paying PMI insurance ($175/month).

    $560 in required fees!

    These fees turn a modest $950 base mortgage into $1510 monthly. That's real life. If you can't afford home ownership, don't pitch a fit and blame Starlight or any other developer because you don't earn enough to cover the fees and taxes that come with home ownership.
